HHS Crew Team Registration
Step 1. Club Membership (for every participant)
Step 2. Boathouse Agreement
Step 3. HHS Crew Team Registration
In-Season Documentation Required
Athletes who participate with HHSRC are competing in the U.S. Olympic Sport of Rowing, which offers a rich history as an elite Olympic sport, and produces athletes who are some of the most superb examples of physical conditioning. We are proud to offer this opportunity to local student-athletes.
Step 1. HHS Rowing Club Membership
Start here all rowers, and parent/volunteers who want access to our team app. You must complete this required form yourself, then move on to Step 2 & 3. One payment per family.
$35 Annual Club Membership, Due Today
Everyone becomes a Member of the Club before completing Step 2. Boathouse Agreement and Step 3. HHS Crew Team Registration. All members must make a commitment to uphold Club Membership Standards. Members aren't just rowers, they can be members of our community, your family, friends, coaches, parents, teachers, and alumni.
Step 2. Boathouse Registration.
Required to enter the boathouse bay for student-athletes, adults, and volunteers.
In order to train, coach, or volunteer, at the boathouse, all HHSRC Individual Members must submit this required step before joining us inside the HHSRC Crew Bay at the Bob Buckhorn River Center. We house our boats and conduct on-site training here. Become a student-athlete who can train at the boathouse by completing this step. All rowers, volunteers, board members, coaches, campers, learn to row, bring a friend, and any high school student wishing to use the boathouse with our team must complete this form. We’re grateful to share this special City of Tampa space and proud to uphold a standard of excellence on the Hillsborough River and at Julian B. Lane Park year-round. We can’t wait to see you on the water!
Step 3. Join the HHS Crew Team for Student-Athletes !
When you register in the fall for rowing, you are registering for the entire school year, which runs from August to the end of April (after our last state championship regatta). The national competition is held at the end of May, and if we qualify and attend, the cost of that trip is fully funded by the families of rowers competing and is not covered by the Club with team fees. The Fall Season is all about preparing to race in the Spring Season. If you want to join HHS Rowing Club, we strongly recommend joining in the fall so that your student-athlete receives all the necessary training and practice before heading to State and National Championships in the spring.
Your payment for participation covers all fees incurred from coaching, training, our bay at the boathouse, regatta participation fees, crew boats and launches, and all necessary equipment. Plus, we love to keep our athletes fed so we provide breakfast and lunch at all regattas. Our Club does not make money. This is only a portion of the cost to run this program. Fundraising and volunteer commitments are also required to participate due to the cost of this sport. We hold events throughout the year. * See fee details below.
